Interviews
Where are you all from?
Aundrea-I'm from California like 40 minutes outside of L.A.
Dawn- I'm from New Orleans.
Shannon-I'm from Oregon.
Aubrey-I'm from San Francisco and D. Woods she's from Massachusetts by way of Atlanta. She ran out for a second but she'll be right back.

The episodes that are airing now when were those episodes taped?
Aubrey-We started taping those episodes at the end of March through May. Since then a couple of weeks at a time we did some more shows but that was the big chunk of them.

Do you all ever watch the episodes that air now?
Dawn- We watch them but we try not to watch them all the time. We get episodes and they will give us a DVD to watch them before the show airs but then after that we don't go back to it because we lived it we know the grunt of it. We don't have cable any ways. We lived that part and now we are going forward.

From what you all have seen do you think the editing is fairly accurate?
Dawn- We're really happy with it but of course by it being a show it's very one dimensional. You can only get so much in 30 minutes. Of course it's not all of us like all of the sides of who we are and as women we have many sides so it's not going to show every side of us. But what you see on the show is a glimpse of who we really are. We are happy that we were able to have that vessel so we can have great album sales and fans. But of course its not all of us because we have so much more to give to people. Aubrey-It's the entertaining attributes of all of us.

I reviewed your album sampler and I think you all can sing. But I do remember the episode when you all went to the radio station and some people got dissed. Is it hurtful when people say you all can't sing or are you able to brush it off now?
Shannon-Well it's not true. You have to have thick skin in this business because people are going to have their own opinions that's just a lesson Diddy has been teaching us through this whole process. We are so thankful that we reached that obstacle early in our career so you know you learn how to brush it off. You are going to have critics no matter who you are or what you've done. People don't always love Prince, people don't always love Madonna and you know it doesn't matter and that's part of being successful learning how to take the criticism and take the positive and not let it control you as an artist.

D. Woods-We do understand that the only reference they have to our singing or anything involved in people singing around us has been on this show and the show doesn't always necessarily highlight those moments when you are doing the best because they are trying to make ratings, but what makes it interesting if people are always doing good so they have to make drama or they saw the previous season when people were getting cut for sounding bad so they just automatically associate all of us with that same category with not being able to sing so we have to understand that and brush it off because they don't know but as soon as the music comes out because like you said when you heard it you liked us and thought we could sing so we're hoping we can change a lot of people's mind once the music comes out.

Diddy seems like he can be intimidating but he also seems like he can be a fun guy. What's it like working with Diddy?
Dawn-It's just like that. Sometimes he's real laid back and he's real silly. He's about the business he wants perfection. He doesn't let us get out the studio until we have made it a bonafied hit and then he will say "Let's hit the club now," we are like "What?" and he is like "I command you to have fun, we're having fun, I command you to have fun right now." You have to get used to it. It's a little bit of both worlds. You have to know when he's in play mode and when he's in serious mode.
